I no longer put the "Special" in "Quantico Land Nav Special" - I passed on my remedial. I got an 80, only looked for 8 boxes. I refused to do any running at all. I've barely been eating and we're going to be in the field all next week.

I felt happy during land nav. It was a good morning and I found boxes pretty quickly and I knew I was learning a lot. At one point I felt happy because I didn't feel like I was so alone anymore. I had "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" stuck in my head the whole time and the terrain reminded me of Jurassic Park. I usually sing "Baby Mine" to myself when I land nav (I did a little bit).

I realized after finding my 8th box I only had a little bit of time to run to a hardball road before drop-dead time. Not my plan but I wasn't paying attention to my watch. My body hurt so much as I ran as fast as I could nearly 2 km (must've been less) in 9 minutes. It was such relief to see cars earlier than I expected to and I got around the fence quickly. Thank God.

I turned in my card, got back to my room, and then felt so alone.
